We’re stoked to see that Patagonia is getting involved in the fight against Big Salmon in Tassie’s precious and pristine coastal waters. After trashing areas of Macquarie Harbour (think mass fish deaths, ecological dead-zones and super low oxygen levels), farmed salmon producers have set their sights on the pristine coastal waters of King Island. This decision has not only ignited a passionate response from locals who love their way of life and depend on King Island’s clean, green brand, but also fired up an army of surfers around the world who understand the natural and cultural wonder that is Martha Lavinia.
